I did the body bushings at the same time, installed the one above the rear axle on each side like the GNX cars have. Between the braces and the bushings it really tightens things up.

Made a set for Mary's white T out of 1/4 inch by 1 inch wide aluminum stock. An eight foot long piece was enough to make the four braces. I recall the directions from a set from Kirban indicated to have the car supported level on jack stands. Your weight in the trunk installing them will make the body on the springs flex a little. After putting the orginal set in from the trunk all sets put in since are with the back seat taken out. Much easier

I made my own braces too, used thin wall tubing from an old bunk bed frame, level the car before install on jackstands, worked great!

You think it really makes that much of a difference if you DON'T have the wheels off the ground? Never heard anyone suggest that before......

Make sure you have all four wheels off the ground, when you tighten the braces

That is exactly what I used....EMT conduit. I smashed the ends flat in a vice and bent one of them slightly to make them able to cross each other. Fairly easy..about $5.00 worth of material.

I remember Walter Bell made his rear seat braces out of conduit (EMT electrical metallic tubing), maybe we can make some up at the April Tech mtg for all who want some?

The GN gets some love this spring! I ordered the new fiberglass front bumper fillers and the front lower connecting brace last night. Also picked up a set of used lower frame braces over the winter. Still need to order the horn button overlay yet. Probably next month I'll bring it home and start working on it.

conditions are much better then they have been in some time. Just have to watch for some puddles along the side of the road in a few spots. I kept the T-type and the '71 in an easy access spot with intensions of driving them when it was nice out this winter. The snow hampered those intensions.

put insurance back on Lisa's skylark Friday and she drove it for the first time today since it had been sitting. She hadn't driven it since October'08. Still have a few things to do to it but I will need to work on the car she had been driving,so it was time to swap cars around. I did drive the T-type to town today to get parts for the van. I had been wanting to drive it for some time.
